By the end of the fourth semester, the following results were achieved within the project framework:

1. The project website was enriched with news and analytical materials on EU law.

2. The "European Union Law" course was taught to bachelor's degree students.

3. The "Advanced European Union Law" course was taught to master's degree students.

4. In accordance with the project work plan, on May 10, 2024, a seminar-workshop on the topic "Teaching and research methodology in EU related disciplines: peculiarities and modern tendencies" was organized at Tashkent State University of Law for professors, doctoral students, and researchers within the framework of grant project 101048015 – JMCEUL – "Jean Monnet Chair in European Union Law".

5. In accordance with the project work plan, on June 23, 2024, a guest-lecturing and practical seminar-workshop on the topic “Development trends of the EU legal system and EU external relations” was organized at Tashkent State University of Law for young staff of relevant departments of the Ministry of Justice and faculty members of Tashkent State University of Law, within the framework of grant project 101048015 – JMCEUL – "Jean Monnet Chair in European Union Law".

6. An annual students` contest for the nomination of “The best research paper on EU studies” was organized, winners were identified and awarded special certificates, souvenir gift and remuneration. More than 150 students participated in the competition.

7. A "European Union News" section was established on the project website.

8. Within the framework of the project, a project member visited several universities in Latvia (from January 8 to February 8, 2024). At these universities, they became acquainted with EU law subject programs, teaching methodologies, and textbook content.

9. A project member also participated in the International Round Table on "The System of Management of Educational Institutions of Western Europe" organized by Latvia University, and shared opinions within the framework of European Union law (January 16, 2024).

10. Project team members published scientific articles and abstracts on European Union law and European Union foreign policy in scientific journals and conferences collections.

Proposals Based on Fourth Semester Feedback Analysis

1. To further enhance faculty qualifications – organize professional development trips to European Union countries.

2. Direct connections with European Union institutions have not been established – develop cooperation mechanisms with the European Commission and other institutions.

3. Research in the field of European Union law at the doctoral (PhD) level is limited – strengthen scientific supervision in this direction.

4. Analytical and expert activities regarding the cooperation agreement between Uzbekistan and the European Union are insufficient – strengthen cooperation with government bodies.

5. Students' opportunities to participate in exchange programs with European universities are limited – expand exchange opportunities within the framework of Erasmus+ and other programs.

An action plan was developed to address these shortcomings for the fifth semester. In particular, plans include organizing professional development trips to European universities for faculty members, strengthening cooperation with the European Union Delegation in Uzbekistan, and organizing scientific seminars on European Union law for doctoral students.
